Day 01: Arrive Leh
Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airpot Leh, we get picked up and transferred to our hotel. Check in into the Hotel and relax. We take an active rest whole day today to acclimatize with the sudden gain of the high altitude. In the evening we can take a stroll to the main bazaar. Stay overnight Hotel Mahey Retreat - Leh.

Day 02: Shey – Thiksey - Hemis
Today we go further from leh on the Leh – Manali highway to visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monasrery & Hemis Monastery. Shey is a beautiful village at a distance of 09km from Leh. The Shey Palace is the summer palace of the ancient rulers famous for a huge statue of Maitreya Buddha built by King Deldan Namgyal. Hemis stands on the western bank of the Indus River. The monastery also boasts of a very richcollection of ancient relics. The Hemis Monastery also serves as the venue of an annual festival, known as the H emis Festival.Thiksey houses one of the largest Buddhist statues, the 15 meter tall Chamba, the Buddha of Future and located strategically,
 
 
today; Thiksey is one of the most frequently visited and most photogenic monasteries in Ladakh. About a hundred monks live here. Return back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 
 
Day 03: Leh – Khardongla - Leh
Back on the road this time towards Khardungla pass (5602m / 18380ft), the world’s highest motor able pass. After a photography session and acclimatization break on the pass we spend some time at the top and drive back to Leh. Stay overnight in Mahey Retreat - Leh.

Day 04: Leh – Pangong – Leh (4080m/13386 ft; 155km; 5hrs one way)
We leave very early and set off for Pangong. The road offers some beautiful landscapes. Pangong is the world’s highest brackish water lake – Pangong, 150 kms long and 4 kms wide spans two countries, India & China (2/3rd of the lake lies in China). The sun paints its various hues on the canvas of the surrounding mountains as we watch spellbound while walking on the shores of the lake. After spending some time at the lake we drive our way back to Leh. Stay overnight in Mahey Retreat - Leh.

Day 05: Leh – Alchi – Lamayuru - Leh (110km)
We start having an early breakfast towards The Sham Valley of Ladakh. We drive continuously on the Leh – Srinagar Highway to reach village of Lamayuru which is famous for its landscape and The Lamayuru Monastery situated on a hilltop. We also get an opportunity to visit the Moonland scapes. On our way back we visit the Alchi Monastery which is one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh famous for its 11th century wall paintings. Enroute we will also stop by Magnetic hill & Sangam, the confluence of Indus & Zanskar River for photos. Return back to leh for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06: Final Departure
The vehicles will drop us at the Leh Airport to fly back home.

This day is for taking in the sights of Leh and to use this as an opportunity to acclimatize further. We visit Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery and Stok Palace. Hemis stands on the western bank of the Indus River. The monastery also boasts of a very rich collection of ancient relics. The Hemis Monastery also serves as the venue of an annual festival, known as the Hemis Festival. Thiksey houses one of the largest Buddhist statues, the 15 meter tall Chamba, the Buddha of Future and located strategically, today; Thiksey is one of the most frequently visited and most photogenic monasteries in Ladakh. royal family lives in Stok Palace.The museum at the Stok Palace has an intriguing collection of Buddhist art, weapons, jewelry and artifacts, including Thangkas painted with colors derived from crushed precious stones. Also on display are the ceremonial head dresses or 'Peraks' of the erstwhile rulers of Ladakh. These headdresses are decorated with turquoise, lapis lazuli and coral and gold, making them an exotic sight. Return back to the hotel for dinner and stay.

Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley (3047m/ 9997ft; 125 km; 6 hrs drive)
Back on the road this time towards Khardungla pass (5602m / 18380ft), the world’s highest motor able pass. After a photography session and acclimatization break on the pass we cross it and head towards Nubra Valley. Nubra Valley is sandwiched between the Karakoram Mountains to the north and the Ladakh range to the south The villages of Nubra are scattered along these two valley floors. This is a beautiful region that once formed a part of the Silk route into Afghanistan. Because of the lower altitude a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and grains are grown, creating an impression of abundance. Stay overnight in a Hotel/Guesthouse in Nubra.

Day 04: Nubra – Leh (3449 m / 11319 ft; 125 km; 6 hrs)
After breakfast, the group sets off to visit the white sand dunes and if lucky one can take a ride on the double humped Bactrian camels. We have lunch at Hundar and then head to Diskit Monastery, right on the top behind Diskit Monastery stands a 106 foot tall Buddha statue, the tallest in the Ladakh region. Return back to Leh. Stay overnight in Mahey Retreat - Leh.

Day 05: Leh – Pangong (4080m/13386 ft; 155km; 5hrs one way)
We have an early breakfast and set off for Pangong. The road offers some beautiful landscape. Pangong is the world’s highest brackish water lake – Pangong, 150 kms long and 4 kms wide spans two countries, India & China (2/3rd of the lake lies in China). The sun paints its various hues on the canvas of the surrounding mountains as we watch spellbound while walking on the shores of the lake. Spend the night in a deluxe tented Campsite on the shore of the lake.

Day 06: Pangong – Leh
Enjoy the magnificent view of sunrise at the lake and drive your way back to Leh. Evening is at leisure to explore the Leh bazaar for some souvenirs. Stay overnight in Mahey Retreat – leh.

Day 05: Leh – M. Hill – Rafting – Sangam – Rafting – Alchi – Leh.
After exploring the Nubra Valley, we get to try some adventure today. We drive on the Srinagar highway till we have a glimpse of the Sangam, confluence of River Indus & Zanskar. On our way to Sangam, we stop at a point called Magnetic hill. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill. From Sangam we meet the Rafting crew and head to the starting point of Rafting. We paddle down from Scorpochey to Sangam enjoying the amazing gorges and the fun-filled rapids and splashes for 02hrs. We have a hot outdoor lunch at sangam and head further on Srinagar highway to reach Alchi. We visit the ancient Alchi Monastery and return back to Leh. Stay overnight in Mahey Retreat.
